A setting designed with students in mind
Organizing a school nautical activity requires more than a simple activity
For a school, a nautical outing can’t be chosen just because it “looks good”. It requires a clear framework, reliable supervision, an activity adapted to the real level of the students, organization compatible with the school’s constraints, and a progression that makes sense from an educational point of view.
Each session is tailored to the group: age of students, number of students, skill level, learning objectives, duration and weather conditions of the day. Our aim is not just to offer an “outing”, but to provide a real, useful and appropriate supervised nautical experience – and to simplify the organization from A to Z.
Adapted progression
Initiation, discovery or improvement: the session is designed according to the level of the group and the objectives of the establishment – not according to a standard program slightly modified.
Reassuring setting
Students are accompanied right from the briefing, with simple instructions, adapted equipment and a supervisory presence on the water. You concentrate on your students – Yak’Ocean takes care of the rest.
Collective experience
Nautical activities encourage mutual aid, coordination and cohesion, without seeking individual performance at all costs.
Discovery, progress, cooperation
Canoeing, paddling and Hawaiian pirogue for schoolchildren
01.
Canoeing
Learn to move around on the water and become more independent
Canoeing is an ideal way to discover the basics of navigation: getting on board, propelling yourself, turning, braking, keeping your balance and evolving in a natural setting. Depending on the group’s level, the session can focus on initiation, technical progress or a supervised course.
Ideal for: discovery, independence, coordination, effort management Format: introductory or advancedObjective: learn to move on water with confidence
02.
Stand-up Paddle
To work on balance, concentration and confidence
Stand-up paddling is a fun, progressive activity. Students learn to manage their balance, use their paddle, move around and adapt their posture. The session can be very accessible for beginners, or more technical for groups already at ease.
Ideal for: balance, coordination, self-confidence
Format: initiation or technical progression
Objective: evolve standing or kneeling on a board
03.
Hawaiian pirogue
For a truly collective experience on the water
The Hawaiian pirogue is based on collective coordination: students have to paddle together, listen to the rhythm and understand that efficiency comes from working together. It’s a great way to work on cohesion, listening and mutual aid.
Ideal for: cooperation, cohesion, group rhythm Format: supervised group session
Objective: move forward together thanks to crew coordination
